March 24, 2022 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Just Be Resilient: The Imposition of Racial Trauma on Youth (Part II) – Allen County
About this online event:
TOPIC:Â Minority youth are increasingly exposed to racial trauma and the impact of exposure is well documented. Social and educational systems and organizations are poised to support youth through this exposure but are often ill-equipped to acknowledge, understand, and support youth who experience racial trauma. This two-part session will discuss concepts related to trauma and its impact and will challenge youth workers to consider the system and the people that perpetuate racial trauma. Additionally, the series will help youth workers learn strategies to acknowledge, understand, and support youth more effectively. (You do not have to have attended part I to attend part II)
SPEAKER:Â Karlin James Tichenor, Ph.D., Owner and CEO, Karlin J & Associates, LLC
COST:Â No Cost
