- (Added 3/1/24, IDOE Update): High Ability Grant Application Early Release: The Student Pathways & Opportunities High Ability team would like to announce the early release of the fiscal year (FY) 2025 High Ability Program Grant. The FY 2025 High Ability Program Grant application will be open to all public and public charter LEAs on Monday, April 15, and will close at the end of the day on Wednesday, May 1. The early release will expedite approvals and allow LEAs to request awarded funding sooner. Attend the High Ability webinars or join High Ability Office Hours for more information. - (Update from the Indiana Department of Education for 5/5/23):Partnership to Support High Ability Coordinators – IDOE has partnered with Ball State University and East Central Educational Service Center to provide an opportunity for active district High Ability Coordinators. This program will include paid tuition, university fees, books for a three-credit-hour graduate-level course focused on high ability learners, one-on-one support sessions during the 2023-2024 school year, and stipends for the creation of high ability resources. Detailed information is included in this program description. Superintendents can recommend a candidate through the registration process by completing page 3 of the application. This opportunity is limited to 20 seats for the introduction course and 20 seats for the advanced course. Applications are due by Monday, May 8. Contact highability@ecesc.k12.in.us
