  • (Added 11/05/24):  The Indiana School Counselor Association invites members to apply for the ISCA Emerging Leaders 2025 (Cohort 5) program. The Cohort 5 application window is open November 15 to November 30, 2024.  The mission of the ISCA Emerging Leaders Committee is to identify and develop school counseling leaders within the state of Indiana. These leaders will represent diverse communities, levels of practice, cultures, and ethnicities. Professional school counselors will benefit from opportunities to become more actively involved with the Indiana School Counselor Association and develop leadership skills that will enable them to advance the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students through personal enthusiasm, professional advocacy, and active contribution.  The Emerging Leaders program welcomes applicants who qualify under the following requirements:
      • Current ISCA members (it’s never too late to join: https://www.indianaschoolcounselor.org/
      • At least one of the following applies:
        • A practicing licensed Indiana school counselor
        • A graduate student currently enrolled in a school counseling program
      • Have an interest in developing their leadership skills by becoming actively involved in the work of the Indiana School Counselor Association
      • Complete the application: The application will be open starting November 15, 2024, and an email will be sent out with the link when it is open.
      • **PLEASE NOTE: This is not a mentorship program. This is an opportunity to become directly involved in the Indiana School Counselor Association while networking with other Emerging Leaders across the state.

  • (Added 01/23/24, ISCA):  The nominations for the 2025 Indiana Administrator of the Year awards are now open and will remain open through June 2, 2024.  The Indiana Administrator of the Year Award honors one outstanding school administrator in the state of Indiana who demonstrates exemplary contributions at their schools.  Nominees must be a school administrator, coordinator, director, or supervisor of school, district or state school counseling services. If you have an exceptional administrator at your school we encourage school counselors to nominate them by visiting THIS LINK and filling out the Google nomination form.
  • (Added 01/05/24, ISCA): 2025 ISCA Awards Nominations: Nominations for the 2025 ISCA Awards are now open through Sunday, June 2. Recognize exemplary school administrators, school counselors, and school support staff by nominating them for a 2025 ISCA Award. The nomination process is modeled after the ASCA national award model. Winners will be selected by the ISCA Awards committee and will be invited to attend the ISCA Fall Conference to receive their award. One school administrator and one support staff member will be selected as the 2025 Indiana state winners. The 2025 School Counselor of the Year winners will be selected by level (elementary, middle, and high). More information about criteria for the annual ISCA Awards can be found here.   • ISCA supports the Indiana Gold Star Program, which provides guidelines for designing and implementing comprehensive, developmental school counseling programs and meeting the Indiana Guidance and Counseling Standards.
