- (Added 01/05/24, IDOE Update): INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT (DWD): Learn more about Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) – JAG Indiana is seeking schools to add 50 new programs this fall as part of Governor Holcomb’s plan to double the workforce program across Indiana. The expansion plan invites middle school, high school and alternative education/credit recovery programs to be part of JAG, and the 40,000 Hoosier youths it has served since its inception in 2006. We have JAG here in our district and it is a fantastic program for students with barriers to going on to college and career! Here’s a link that should have the info you need. https://www.in.gov/dwd/
JAG.htm We have JAG specialists at our high schools that do the enrollment, meet with students and parents, teach the classes, take them to competitions and college field trips, do all the follow-up after graduation, among other things. Counselortalk, March 2018
