Expulsion

Expulsion is a disciplinary action of excluding a student from school attendance for up to one year. A student may be permanently expelled from school if their disobedience or misconduct warrants this sanction.  A formal hearing is required in all expulsion actions.

Enuresis

Enuresis is involuntary urination, especially by children at night. Voluntary, or intentional, enuresis may be associated with other mental disorders, including behavior disorders or emotional disorders such as anxiety.

Encopresis

Encopresis, also called fecal incontinence or soiling, occurs when constipation causes impacted stool to fill the colon, and liquid stool leaks out.

Emotional Disorders

An emotional disorder is a mental disorder in which one’s emotions are disturbed to a great extent. It is a psychological condition in which thoughts and emotions are not in the proper state.

Emancipation

There is a legal process by which a minor can become an adult in the eyes of the law, referred to as the emancipation of a minor.

Other Eating Disorders

The less common or less well-known eating disorders are: Orthorexia (an obsession with proper or ‘healthful’ eating.), Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED) (known as Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (EDNOS) in previous editions of the DSM.

Bulimia Nervosa

Bulimia, is a serious, potentially life-threatening eating disorder. People with bulimia may secretly binge — eating large amounts of food — and then purge, trying to get rid of the extra calories in an unhealthy way

Binge Eating Disorder

Binge eating disorder (BED) is an eating disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of eating large quantities of food (often very quickly and to the point of discomfort); a feeling of a loss of control during the binge; experiencing shame, distress or guilt afterwards; and not regularly using unhealthy compensatory measures (e.g., purging) to counter the binge eating.
